Peter has in excess of thirty years experience in Career Transition & Outplacement, Executive Search, Recruitment and Contracting. He has strong affiliations with sporting clubs, membership, community and peak body associations, where he has held Committee roles and as President of several organisations.
He established his own Human Resources Consultancy - Dakin Management Group initially specialising in Executive Contracting and Recruitment. He subsequently merged his business and in 1986 became a pioneer and leading provider of Career Transition & Outplacement Services across government, private and not-for-profit organisations.
Similarly he has had outstanding success recruiting C-suite executives across all sectors and many appointees have tenure extending well beyond 10 years including a number of sporting bodies.
Peter's wealth of commercial and HR experience has enabled him to develop a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the full range of interlinking human resources disciplines.
With strong sporting and community affiliations, Peter was a Committee Member of the Melbourne Cricket Club for 11 years, Past President of Kingston Heath Golf Club, the Rotary Club of Melbourne and Power House Amateur Football Club.
In 1995 he was appointed as Chair of the Albert Park Sports User’s Group comprising 34 sporting clubs and had significant involvement for a period of 10 years with Parks Victoria and the Australian Grand Prix Corporation, particularly regarding the impact of the Formula 1 Grand Prix on the precinct.
He holds qualifications in Accountancy and was awarded Fellowship of the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants (FCPA) and the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC).
David has been a Senior Consultant with Dakin Partners since 2012. His ability to motivate and gain the confidence of individuals has been a significant factor in his success as a business leader and consultant. Combined with his comfortable, friendly yet direct style, he builds trust and rapport with his career transition and coaching clients enabling them to maximise the benefits of his support.
As a qualified Accountant, David has experience in a wide range of industry sectors including professional services, manufacturing, retail, distribution, sport, import and export, food and compliance within not-for-profit, private, public company and Government environments. He has worked in a variety of roles and utilises learnings from his general management/CEO, financial, sales, operations and marketing roles to add great value and understanding to discussions with individuals he is assisting. With his support, David’s clients develop a pathway forward and “career resilience” which serves them well in the future providing the opportunity to grow and flourish as individuals and team members as they progress through their working lives.
David has been providing one-on-one, tailored, highly personalised support to Career Transition & Outplacement participants and Executive Coaching/Leadership Development training for several years. This wealth of experience together with his outstanding sporting involvement and committee appointments continues to be invaluable in advising participants regarding their own careers.
Blaire Anderson has worked with Dakin Partners for several years as a Career Transition Consultant and Digital Strategy & Marketing Manager.
A double degree in Business Management & Human Resources supports her strong background in B2B & B2C brand strategy, digital marketing and small business start-ups across a variety of industries including Human Resources, Retail, Aviation and Hair & Beauty.
Blaire provides valuable support to Career Transition Participants optimising their resumes, applications, online profiles and advises individuals on self-employment and marketing initiatives for small business.
She also facilitated, developed and implemented the CareerConnect Online Portal and manages all of the firms website and marketing.
Blaire holds a MAHRI Membership with the Australian HR Institute (AHRI).
Mark is Managing Director of ICG Careers (aligned with ICG Careers) and is a Strategic Alliance Partner of Dakin Partners. Based in New Zealand, he has offices in Sydney and Brisbane.
He is a business leadership professional and has held senior General Manager and General Manager – HR leadership roles with Fletcher Challenge, The Warehouse and Steel & Tube as well as being a Business JV Owner/Operator. This includes exposure to the APAC region.
This experience has included significant involvement in major change programmes impacting on individuals and groups of up to 500 people.
Together with a range of Directorships and Trusteeships this gives Mark a unique insight into both macro and micro business environments. Mark also consults on Business Turnarounds, Start-Up’s and Development.
Greg has over 35 years’ Executive Coaching, Career Transition, Human Resource Management, Business Management and Management Consulting experience in Australia and the Pacific. Sector experience includes financial services, public, community-controlled health, shared services, career transition, business coaching and not-for-profit enterprises.
Leading ICG’s Human Capital Practice, Greg’s current work focusses on HR strategy formulation & development, workforce capability, HR function capability, workforce planning, leadership development, business transformation and career transition.
Prior to joining ICG, Greg has operated at C-Suite level including Chief People Officer - icare NSW (a public financial corporation); Chief Human Resources Officer - Safety, Return to Work & Support (a cohort of public service agencies); General Manager Employee Shared Services - Westpac Banking Corporation in addition to a number of senior human resources roles supporting a number of cultural & business transformation projects. He was a finalist as HR Director of the Year in the 2017 Australian HR Awards.
He also has extensive career transition and executive coaching experience as a Senior Consultant with a large career transition and outplacement provider in addition to executive coaching of clients across all sectors.
Greg’s experience is supported by qualifications including Master of Business Coaching, Diploma of Human Resources Management and a Diploma of Positive Psychology & Wellbeing.
Scott Brain is Founder & Principal Consultant of Consulting HRM, based in Melbourne, the firm is a Strategic Alliance Partner of Dakin Partners.
Scott brings a breadth and depth of experience from over 15 years in Human Resources Management (HRM) roles across a range of sectors including state and federal government, higher education, industry and consulting.
With this experience, Scott partners with organisations and leaders to grow organisational capability and capacity, design and implement organisational changes and address culture and performance.
Specific areas of knowledge and professional strength include establishing new organisational structures and operating models, facilitating workshops and team building from small (5+) to large groups (500+), improving ways of working and adapting systems and addressing processes and policy to meet ever changing workplace needs.
Kerina has deep knowledge and skill in career transition, coaching, training and change management. For 10 years she has been the Director of Altered Career, a consulting firm and partnered with Dakin Partners on change and career transition projects over the past 3 years.
With a fresh and flexible approach, she supports individuals of all ages, stages and levels in their career. Kerina coaches individuals & organisations moving through change and inspires people to realise their potential.
Her broad range of skills extends to assisting individuals who seek to improve their personal or professional performance, personal branding, further their leadership skills or plan their careers as they transition from one role to another, especially if they have been made redundant, retiring or returning to the workforce. She develops mentoring and leadership programs and conducts individual and group training over a broad selection of professional development topics.
Kerina spent eight years in corporate marketing roles at organisations like ANZ Bank and Victoria Police, prior to moving into coaching. She has coached over 2000 individuals and completed work for the Australian Ballet, Monash University, RACV, VicHealth, Youth Law, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, MLC Insurance, Red Energy and TAC just to mention a few. Having headed up the employee support program for Toyota when it shut down its R&D facility, Kerina is comfortable managing both small and large projects.
